If the programming procedure for the newer Xterras is anything like the one for the older ones it involves getting the computer into learn mode by pushing a bunch of buttons (like, turn the key to accessory, push the door lock button xx times within yy seconds, then blah blah blah - now you're in program mode, hit any key on the remote and it will be learned)... they make it complicated enough that you won't stumble onto it with normal use but once you know it it's easy and doesn't require any tools or a special programmer or anything.

Kaiser is right, the programming is dead easy. I ordered replacements for my wife's van and my X from keyless ride. http://www.keylessride.comPrice wasn't the ~$10 quoted in this thread, but they were brand new and worked as advertised.

I have a question, my xterra used to beep when I locked with my keyless remote, but now it doesn't...I liked the beep because I knew it locked, any ideas what the problem could be?
thanks!
