Ok, so last year right before the winter I started to hear some noise, but couldnt narrow it down. Today I found it. My questions are, should I replace with stock/factory, is there an easy after market to get that is worth using, ie: Advance Auto, Auto Zone, etc... I'm figuring its going to be easier , and better to replace bolts and bushings, cant see using the old bolts if I have to remove them anyway.

The first image is with the wheels on the ground, the second is Jacked up, this is the drivers side, the Pass side isnt as bad, but is getting there.

2003 X......you can get the whole kit, comes with the bushings, washers, bolt and nut for about $6.00 per side from napa......took me all of 30 minutes to replace, what took the longest was getting the old ones out. One was already snapped and I had to cut the other side. Works fine for me and any Idiot can do it themselves, just make sure you stack the bushings and washers the right way. Hope this helps!

e,
Looks like in your pics that you're missing the spacer sleeve in between the bushing washers. Either that, or the washer has been driven down over the spacer sleeve. There should be no gap between the upper bushing set and the sway bar like you see there. It also looks like the sway bar link nut has been WAY overtightened.Get the whole kit like Bolt suggested and include the new spacer sleeves. Make sure you don't overtighten the new set 'cause it will accelerate wear. You only need to tighten it until everything is snugged together and you can't move it by hand.

Jeff!

Thanks guys, thats what I was hoping to hear. Yes it did look to me as if there was something missing, or not right in there.

just cut them off, and replace with new ones. All of them are the same from whatever parts store that you will go to. If you go between the bushings with a grinder and cutoff wheel both ends will slide away. Dont waste your time trying to undo the bolt, and nut

got them today at Napa, 12 bucks even for them. Tried the impact and a wrench before getting the grinder out, took them off pretty easy, I figured either they would come off, or maybe snap. Putting them on wasnt too bad, had to pry the pass side a bit to get the new stuff put in there, about a quarter inch. Made a noticable difference in driving, feels much better now. Thanks again guys for the replies.
and yes, one of the washers and bushings was pushed down over the center sleeve, so it was still there, just hiding ! lol

Has anyone replaced the bushings and end links with polyurethane? In the pas I thought I heard polyurethane squeaks and polygraphite doesnt. I dont even see any of these bushings in polygraphite. Thanks.
