My daughter placed her large water bottle in the cupholder without pulling out the insert. Guess what, she took along the insert with her water bottle and did not notice it. Yes it was dark outside and it fell somewhere. Now the problem, where can I get a cupholder insert without being raped??? Any help would be great. I tried the search under most topics with no joy.

I have an extra, somehow the dealer left two in plastic when I bought my x in the glove box. You are in my area to email me.

I should have 3 spares somewhere, 2 for the console, 1 for the 3rd cupholder is you have a manual.

At least, the ones in my 02 look the same as the ones in the 00 Frontier I drove for a day.

I do this all the time. People look at me funny when I show up to a game or work and I still have the cupholder hanging from the bottle.

Yeah, the damn insert is just a tad too small for a 20 oz. plastic soda bottle. With a little (OK, very little) mechanical aptitude and some trial and error, I seem to have figured out that if you give the bottle a little twist with your wrist as you are lifting it up, the insert usually lets go of the bottle. Not always, but probably 9 times out of 10. Play with it a bit and you'll see what I mean.

My wife lost mine.

They are like $10 and change from the dealer.

Better yet, don't twist, just rock it around in a circular motion as you lift it, make the cap travel in a circle...
