Honestly I do like the Calmini one more, but I also like the fact that Craisy is trying to be different, ans showing us all that there are other options out there. What is the point of this post anyway?

#1...I mean 2, or maybe 1. I don't know, which one should I like? Obviously #2 is nicer but was it an option when the first one was put together?

its not realy fair to compare two bumpers together right now
"calmini" one is finished and has its bugs worked out "Crazy" bumper is not finished and only on the truck for couple of days,
so Ian: why dont you delete this thread and come back to this when both of them will be finished
we would not want to compare Finished ARB bumper to Calmini bumper in testing all bent and stuff . Right?
Not trying to be ECJO, just trying to be fair in comparing 2 bumpers

Neither would work for me either. I use my trailier hitch too much. But if I was in the market #2 definitely.

Ian, please don't take this the wrong way, but why are you steeling/borrowing/whatever pictures posted to another Message board and posting them here?
If Crazy wanted this posted here, I'm sure he would have done it himself.
Thanks, Cliff

Ian is just taking a flame war from the xterra4x4.com board to this one. I didn't think that was his style.
*sigh* Brent

Bullshit. Balderdash. Hogwash. Bunkum.
which is impossible to get on the AF board.
That must be because it's a 'clique' board, compared to this one.
I wanted to get a feeling from a more rational crowd
HAHAHAHAHA! That's funny.

I stand corrected. Mike is bringing the flame war over.

Not trying to be ECJO, just trying to be fair in comparing 2 bumpers Ian: Why are you ignoring this post ? is that because you got nothing to say about it ? or ... (why ?) Why arent you posting that calmini fucked up their UNFINISHED bumper ? i got that pic some where, i can post it next to ARB and then we can ask the same question, BUT that would be VERY unfair ! its UNFINISHED.

Why don't you post a pic of a KMA bumper? I'm not sure how you got caught up in this one vs. the other stuff anyways. CD posted a pic of his new bumper. People posted what they thought. Someone asked why he went this route and he posted his opinion. Since you are not giving all the facts here are some about CD's bumper: http://www.wildernessracks.com/swing_away_tire.html CD also ordered the Gas can holder so the cost of the bumper will be less than the $842. Once completed it will be more functional than the stock Calmini. Still not sure why you don't just delete this topic  [ 10-26-2001: Message edited by: rhombus ]

What makes you think that people are not posting their own opinions? I could understand the point if the topic was "Hey I just got my new bumper and it is way better than the Calmini" but that was not the case.

I saw the bumper before it was mounted and it seems to be very well made and quite solid.
I liked the finish and the options that are available.
Yes it is not a perfect fit for the X but with a little work I think that it will look great.
There is also another consideration (really for us CDN guys). That is his total cost installed. The other options from the states will have shipping and brokerage which is not cheap.
I still think that this could have been done of the AF board.
You bringing it here under that topic is really lame...

Unbiased opinion.
Functionally=CD's Looks=Calmini's
CD looks like somebody chopped off a yard gate and mounted it on his truck, but you can add more junk to it easier. It also sits closer to the truck.
Calmini's looks like a pain in the ass to add anything to other than a spare tire.
A couple of other pennies and unasked question: Nissan has yet to make a better SUV than the pre 96 pathy. That (OEM tire carrier) can easily hold up to 35" tires, mount other crap on it, not to mention a few other items that are better suited for off-roading. The OEM tire carrier for the pathy's have yet to be met or beaten by an aftermarket for the X. Meaning neither tire carriers are that great. It's sad Nissan didn't design it from the get go.
