Timm747 Member Registered: 10/12/00 Posts: 26 Loc: Baltimore, MD 21236	Well, since my X has 53K miles on it and I KNEW that the truck sounded different up front on the right, I took it back into the dealer. They confirmed yesterday that the manifold IS cracked and they had to order the part. It'll take 2 weeks to get in. Does anyone know if they replace these with better parts, or the same one that will crack again in 30K miles??? Tim

Instead of starting another thread, you could have just continued that one... What year is your X? Supposedly the manifold was updated somehow around 02, but we've seen the newer ones crap out too. Best to wait until your powertrain warranty is about to expire before getting it fixed, that way it will be as long afterwards before the new one potentially goes.
