I have been receiving a lot of calls from the saleperson that hooked me up with my X. In fact, it's starting to get a little annoying, "how do you like the car?" "are you happy with your purchase?" "is there anything troubling you about the car?"

He has called at least 3 times since I went to get the car. My question to everyone is how many times have you been pestered by your salesperson. Thanks guys.

I didn't get any follow up calls from my dealer which was fine with me. We talked enough and did the question/answer thing during the sale process. Within a week of delivery, I got a thank you letter, carwash certificates, and a questionaire wanting to know about my experience with the dealership from beginning to end.

No calls, just 2 letters from Nissan. Got a car wash certificate, but didn't use it because it was a drive thru.

My dealership distributes "customer satisfaction surveys" when you take your car home with you. I got pestered to death through the mail about it until I finally filled it out. They sent me a "free gas fillup" card after I finally sent them the survey... I wish I'd filled it out sooner!

Sounds to me like a car salesman that cares and that's pretty rare. Most won't give you the time of day after you purchase the vehicle. I would think this salesman if he treated you right, is trying to make a customer for life. How many car salesman would you not ever go back and deal with again? Probably most of them. But there are the rare few that really do care if your happy with your purchase and want you to remember them for next time your ready to buy. It's called customer satisfaction, if you got it, consider yourself one of the lucky few in this business

Totally agree with XterrAZ's comments! I have not heard a word from mine nor will he ever hear from me again and I'm in the market for a new one!! Some salespersons just take you for granted.

Hey Eric - where'd you get your X? I got nothin' from my dealer (Hubler). Not that I was expecting anything, but man - a few car wash certificates would have been nice. Didn't even get a thank you letter! Oh well, at least I got my X!

What's Up Ross,

Good to "speak" with another X owner from Indy!

I purchased my X from Collins Nissan on the northwest side of town. Real pleased with the experience. Those 2 carwash certificates that they gave me to go to Mike's came in handy. One of them was even for The WORKS. Went in for my first routine service in mid Feb and everybody was real nice there too.

Have A Good One!!!

We've only had our X for a week and haven't heard from our salesman yet. The dealer (Passport Nissan in Alexandria, VA) didn't give us a certificate for car washes. However, they wash the car everytime it is serviced there. They also throw in free oil changes every 3,750 miles for two years or 30K miles. Oh, they did give us a certificate for a free tank full of gas at a station near the dealership. They also got us the exact X we wanted for a good price.

I didn't even think about it until you brought it up, but i didn't get anything except for a survey and generic thank you print out. Even when I bought a used grand am from a dealership a couple years ago, they sent me a personal thank you card and a box that had one of those big mylar baloons that said thank you on it.
But what do you expect when you get a vehicle for basically cost huh... they can't afford to give you anything .

I got a complimentary car wash, a complimentary gas fill up on top of the full tank the X came with, my first oil change free, customer satisfaction phone call and a survey. Also got a discount on the rubber mats and cargo net I ordered after market.

My salesman calls a couple times a year to find out about our TJ and X -- birthdays, Xmas, anniversary, etc., -- since we bought both from him. Never bothered me at all. In fact, it's worked out that I end up with parts discounts and a few other perks since we're return customers. And, I'll buy another outfit from the guy one of these days.
