Trading it in this soon would result in a huge loss. But not as much as trying to convert the 2WD to 4x4. If you purchased the 2WD in the first place (Like myself) then you are obviously new to the Off Road world. I stick with my Keep it for a year or 2 and do some mild off roading advise. Just stay clear of big deep muddy puddles and rock crawling and you can pretty much do anything else.

Taken my 2WD up some nasty loose gravel / dirt inclines and through 3ft deep muddy washes (Okay it was only about 6ft wide, but it was still a little scary! My X shocks the hell out of me every time I take it off road.

Keep it, enjoy it and trade it for a 4x4 when you don't take so much of a hit. Unless you're loaded and don't care about the money, then just trade it now.
