Since October, she's had a series of strokes and brain seizures that have screwed her up pretty bad.

They traced the problem to a hole in her heart that allows clots to go the brain, where they kill brain cells when they get stuck and block blood flow.

She needs heart surgery to fix it...but the FDA, in their infitesmal wisdom, has banned the operation as too risky at this time...so she's on meds to reduce the risk, and hanging on until they lift the ban (A month projection...).
