Well, I hope I don't add any confusion to this, especially for my first post. I am going to be doing a tire upgrade shortly and had all but decided on 31s. But, then I started thinking that 32s might be the answer in case I want to do any lifting of m X in the near future. At first, I thought there would be no way to fit 32s under a stock 2000 Xterra (didn't the wheel wells get bigger in 2001 or 2002?) But, according to OffroadX, I can basically do it with a bit of trimming and a T-bar adjustment.
My questions are 1) How much power can I expect to lose with 32s. I live in Colorado and do a good bit of high altitude driving. So, power is already at a premium. Is it going to feel overly weak? 2) What adjustment is needed for the T-Bar
And, in case your wondering, I am leaning toward BFG ATs at this point. The Goodyear MTRs are my second choice, but I don't do a lot in the mud, so that may be overkill for a vehicle I put 12k+ on a year.
