Yeah, I thought about that. The only thing is that the cpu that runs the lighting system is under the relay box under the hood. From what I remember when seeing the schematic, if someone can confirm, the fog light switch and the parking light switch both send a signal to the BCM, and from there, it is sent by CAN to the CPU under that relay box (or in it, I guess). If there is a way to energize that relay and isolate it from the CPU, I would think the wire, or bus bar, or whatever runs between these things would be pretty tough to mess with. Unless someone has taken that IPDM (I think that's it) apart to check it out, I think that Musikman is right, and that the only way to realistically do it is to rewire the lights with a couple relays and a separate switch. I guess you could even rest the output to the lights from that relay box to 87A so that when the switch is off, you won't have to worry about turning them on and off when your on the pavement.
