The security system is part of the SMART module, which also controls interior lights, door locks, chime, and rear window defogger.

A Nissan dealership won't repair the module (I'm certain of this) but they will of course replace it. You will need your keyfobs (all of them) when it is reprogrammed. No idea how much, but I really doubt it will be warrantyable.
