Went camping Way East this time of year once - Hannigans Meadow our near Alpine / Eagar. One thing we found out - this time of year that's where all the damn Monsoon storms start out.

The Day would start lovely and sunny, then at 10am every day the clouds would role in and it would rain / thunder solidly until around 3pm. Add that to the 10,000ft altitude where my unfit ass could barely suck enough 02 to walk from the X to the tent, added for a slightly interesting trip huddled around a propane burner - as even tho it was pissing with rain every day, there was a camp fire ban and at night it dropped to 40°.

Never seen so many Elk in my life tho driving in / out of there, there were herds of the suckers crossing the roads. Very interesting experience.
