I'm not going to GOX (I don't own an X), but I travelled there with a couple of Xterra owners over the July 4th holiday. And let me tell you, GOX is not just about getting together with a bunch of other Xterra owners. That, naturally, is a large part of it, but the primary attraction is the scenery. I posted photos of my "personal GOX" trip here .

I don't imagine GOX would be very popular if it were held in Oklahoma City or someplace in Kansas, for example, even though those locations are more 'central'. There's just not that much going on (geographically, that is) the the midwest.

If you aren't close to CO, then treat GOX as a major roadtrip vacation; you'll have a different perspective. And it will be a trip you won't forget. cool

P.S. By the way, driving down Poughkeepsie Gulch isn't much fun in a thunderstorm at 6pm. The bypass to the "rock" is like a waterslide!! eek
