I wouldn't mind a digital version, SVCD or VCD 2.0 is as good as VHS and should fit 45mins on 1 CDR. Save you the hassle of making multiple VHS copies

VCD2.0 and SVCD should be compatible on most DVD players too. I don't think I've used my VHS in quite some time now.
