This is true, but if I read the ECM portion of the manual right, the engines in these 05's are pretty "smart". The ECM adjusts the valve timing and many other parameters to match the driving for optimum efficiency. So keeping the revs up is not as critical as the older engines. You shouldn't "lug" the engine. On deceleration, the ECM actually cuts the flow of fuel from the injectors according to the manual.
