Wow! I thought I was the only one that kept looking at the "mud" under the roof basket. Everytime I wash the X, it's bugged me. I was thinking about removing the basket and just leaving the wind deflector. Since reading all of your posts, I'm seriously thinking I should leave it alone! Screw the mud, now I'm worried that eventually, the bolts holding the roof rack on will come loose and the "fun" will begin.
