Yep, I was in the exact same boat, having owned nothing but domestic cars all my life. I was hoping and praying (well, hoping at least) that an American company would make an XTerra clone, so it would satisfy my sense of patriotism. BUT...I found out a tiny little fact that changed my entire outlook on XTerras, which satisfied my dignity and it made me want to go out and get one right away...

"XTerras are made in Tennessee".
