Agreed...the bigger engine and convenient storage as well as the new fold down seat are great...HOWEVER...the switch for 4wd? the carseat belt in the roof in the back? the hand brake in the middle? Where are they going with this new vehicle? and why? I love the looks of the previous vehicle as well, I have an 04. I guess the new focus group is the soccer moms....just wish they had kept their gonads and stuck to the original intent of the X and not followed ALL other manufacturers down the soccer mom road (not that their is anything wrong with soccer moms...but the x, in my opinion, should't be their vehicle...had to vent, I feel better now 
You are entitled to your opinion. Sad thing is that your opinion does not match the majority of the XOC community - pre 2005!
Poke around and you will see that every change, down to the locker was taken from this community and the real users. Take some time and find out why they did what they did.
You think it looks like a mini-van, that's fine! I personally think they did a great job! Thank you Nissan for listening.
