An SL would help at ride height (only), but if the suspension compresses, for bumps, cornering, braking, or, going on uneven terrain, etc...it will rub the same as w/o a SL.

A BL is really how you make room for tires...but, for 285/75/16's, you don't need either type of lift. Sometimes, you don't even need to melt back the plastic, as on some X's, it wasn't on the mold.

If it does rub, its a minor thing that self clearances if you ignore it, its just plastic. Otherwise, heating it up and pressing it back (Melt Mod) only takes a few minutes and is very easy to do...and its only for the front wells, the rears fit as is.
