Burn the chiltons for heat in the house, and read as much as you can on this site, there are a lot of people on here with a lot more first hand experiance than Chiltons could ever dream of!!

I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sureat least some codes that are thrown, can reset themselves after so many "cycles" . in other words ,if a code is thrown for some problem with the fuel system for example that only happened once, It could reset itself after several, or maybe a dozen times of starting, driving shutting it down as long as the same thing doesnt happen again. However there may also be codes that once they come on, wont go away until either the codes are cleared by a code reader, at which point they may return shortly afterwards, or until the item causing the code is repaired, serviced, whatever.
