Yes, because if they can get you in the door they have a much better chance of pressuring you into a deal that is good for them and bad for you. Don't let them do it! Use the fax method, address it to the fleet manager. When they call and pressure you to come in or take a test drive tell them you will only come in to pick up the vehicle after you have negotiated the price.

Your the smart shopper, and they need you more than you need them!
