I had a rush need for a trailer wiring pigtail. Xterraparts.com sells it for $13.02. I called Wayzata Nissan and was quoted $15.06 but there were out of stock. I called Brookdale Nissan and was told they had stock, price would be $24.36 (over 60% higher?!?)

I asked why the difference between his price and the other dealer just a few miles away, and he said they're allowed to set their own parts pricing, but added he would "honor" the other dealer's quoted price.

I'm surprised Nissan doesn't define pricing for their retail outlets.

Buyer beware. Make a couple calls before you buy anything. If the difference can be this much on a low end part, imagine how they might gouge you on the big stuff.
